Coffee Roastery & Plantation

Namikango’s Coffee Roastery & Plantation grew out of a long-standing vision to create sustainable, locally driven economic opportunities in rural Malawi. Recognizing the agricultural potential of Namikango’s land and the vulnerability of many village farmers, Namikango began exploring coffee as a pathway toward long-term sustainability and dignified work.

The entire Coffee Initiative includes: farming, processing, roasting, packaging, and distribution. Coffee is grown on Namikango’s ninety-acre campus, with an emphasis on conservation agriculture practices that protect the soil and improve long-term yields.

Today, the Coffee Initiative provides training for local farmers to grow and sell their coffee, creates employment opportunities for Malawians to work at the Roastery and Plantation, and generates sustainable income for Namikango’s ongoing operations, ministries, and community development initiatives.

More than a business, the Coffee Operations Initiative reflects Namikango’s commitment to holistic transformation — empowering people to steward their land well, provide for their families, and participate in sustainable solutions rooted in dignity, faith, and hope.
