Discipleship Training Institute

Students, along with their spouses and children, will live on campus as a cohort, taking classes together, studying together, eating together, and working for Namikango for income. Students and their spouses will take thirty-two courses that focus on four themes: spiritual leadership, biblical theology, community development, and personal identity. These classes will help students learn good biblical theology as well as develop their leadership skills in the church. Likewise, students will learn how to understand their relationship with God and with neighbors as well as gain skills in Namikango’s community development programs.
DTI is more than a school program for leaders, however. It is an intensive training to become disciples of Jesus. Students will learn in the classroom and then immediately apply their new knowledge in a local church and community. Students will learn how to care for themselves, their families, their communities, and the earth.

DTI students leave their communities and families and move to the Namikango campus for two years. There are many expenses for this program, including the food and lodging of these students while they are on campus for this two-year program, some are covered by their home congregations. To cover the expenses not covered by other sources, the average cost for the program is:
$150 a month for individual students
or
$300 a month for couples or families.
Please consider sponsoring a student or family for the duration of their 2-year program. The current cohort will run through June 2025.
