My first ten years of serving at Namikango Mission (December 2005 to December 2015) were one of my most rewarding spiritual experiences. This time afforded my family and me the opportunity to learn and grow in our faith. I went back to the corporate world far better equipped to serve out there than ever before.
After my departure from Namikango, I spent my first three and a half years in an international farming company (Exagris Africa) as General Manager, and thereafter five years in Malawi’s only palliative/hospice care institution as its Country Manager. Through and through, it never occurred to Lillian and I that we would return to serve at Namikango again. I was quite content serving on the Board as a way of continuing with the Namikango legacy.
Lillian and I have believed much more that our God works in very mysterious ways! “My ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts” so he says. Boom! And we are back!
Lillian and I are excited to be back and grateful to God for another opportunity to serve him. When we look back over the past eight years, we see how the Lord prepared us for the task at hand. In our serving, apart from everything else the job requires, we want to commit ourselves to mentoring the generation behind us so that they will carry the Namikango flag way into the future to the glory of the Lord.
Finally, we have a one-million-dollar plea to all who work very hard to support the work at Namikango. Never cease to pray for us, even as we pray for you.
God bless you all,
Bisani
